Split-beam torque wrenches avoid the main weakness of ordinary click wrenches: there is no main spring to back off after every job, so you can leave it at any setting without hurting accuracy. It is ideal for wheel-adjacent, engine and suspension fasteners in the 20-100 ft.-lb. range.
