Description
When a head gasket starts pushing coolant into the cylinders or out of the engine, HG-1 Head Seal offers a pour-in alternative to an expensive teardown. Its liquid sealer flows to the leak with the coolant and hardens there, reinforced by fine carbon fibers for a tougher repair.
- 33.8 fl oz (1 L) bottle treats cooling systems of 10 to 20 quarts; half a bottle covers 6 to 9.9 quarts
- Sodium silicate sealer with carbon-fiber particles that cure into a durable seal at the leak point
- Mixes with every common 50/50 antifreeze (silicate, OAT and HOAT) or with plain water, with no flushing or draining required
- For gasoline and diesel engines with aluminum or cast-iron heads and blocks
- Also seals radiator, heater core, intake manifold and freeze plug leaks without clogging the heater core
- Contains Bar’s Xtreme Cool additive to help bring coolant temperatures down
